Felt dates back to at least 6,500 BC where remains were found in Turkey. Felt is still used by nomadic peoples in Asia, where rugs, tents and clothing are regularly made.
Felt is made of natural wool fibre which is stimulated by friction and lubricated by water, the friction causes the wool fibres to bond together forming a cloth. This durable material has many uses we have a range a bags hand made in Nepal which are attractive, reasonably priced and very durable.
